ACSM

The Advocacy, Communication and Social Mobilization Wing arranges several programs in remote areas of the Panchayat.

CHAI (Catholic Health Association of India)

The Global Fund, Round 9 TB Project implemented by CHAI employs advocacy, communication and social mobilization programs to highlight the disease through community meetings, school activities & competitions, sensitization programs, patient provider meetings, street plays, puppet shows, etc. Minimum 5 programs are conducted each month and the volunteers undertake 25 house-visits daily to spread awareness about TB and other pandemics.

Sputum Collection & Transportation

Under the Revised national tuberculosis control program (RNTCP), efforts are made to trace out tuberculosis patients in early stage itself and provide DOTs to them. We also undertake sputum collection and transportation scheme of the RNTCP. In a typical trace analysis, we found 58 positive diagnosis among 546 samples in a reporting year. As part of our services, we also provide X-ray diagnosis facility.

World Tuberculosis Day

On this day, Dayabhavan initiates public rally, street plays, and public gatherings with the intention of educating the society. Here, about 25000 people are indirectly involved.

Akshya Program (Doorstep)

This is carried out by door-to-door awareness visits for illustrating the consequences of Tuberculosis Disease and its cure; we reach out to about 5000 people each year.
