DAYAYABHAVAN MEDICAL MISSION HOSPITAL AND ASHY ELIZA SAJAN MEMORIAL HOSPICE
In order to provide advanced medical diagnosis and treatment to village folk at affordable cost, a Medical Mission Hospital has been established in the Kunigal campus premises equipped with diagnostic/laboratory services, scanning unit, OT, semi-ICU, 24-hour casualty facility, and ambulance services. The 50-bed Hospital helps to alleviate many health issues in the community of villagers, suffering from poverty and ignorance at affordable cost. The Dayabhavan Medical Mission Hospital was inaugurated by Shri T.B. Jayachandra, Honorable Minister, Government of Karnataka on December 22, 2013.
When the existing community care center (CCC) in the campus in Bhaktharahalliwas shifted to Tumkur, the same was converted into a village hospital. Dr. SajanGeorge, President of Mother Teresa Children Foundation, donated a new building in fond memory of his daughter Ashy Elisa Sajan. In 2014, this facility became fully functional and since then operates in the name of Dayabhavan Medical Mission Hospital (DMMH) and Ashy Eliza Sajan Memorial Hospice.
